Bridging Cultures through Calligraphy & Painting 

This global art event invites Chinese language enthusiasts worldwide to express their unique perspectives through art. Regardless of location or skill level, participants are encouraged to share their creations, using painting and calligraphy as a bridge to transcend borders and cultures. Let's come together to shape the chapters of our future. 

Who can participate? 

• The Calligraphy and Painting Challenge is open to Chinese language enthusiasts worldwide, with no age restrictions.

• Submitters must be non-native Chinese speakers and non-Chinese citizens.

• Minors must obtain parental or guardian consent for submission.

• Submissions must be made using the submitter's real name. Pseudonyms or repeated submissions under the same pseudonym will not be evaluated.

Calligraphy Guidelines: 

• Medium: Chinese brush calligraphy in any script style (soft-hair, hard-hair, combination-hair brushes or brush pens with soft tips).

• Prohibited Tools: Fountain pens, ballpoint pens, water-based pens, and pencils.

• Content: Positive, energetic, and uplifting messages.

  • Literary or plain style.

  • Ensure the content is accurate, coherent, and complete.

  • Include the original author’s name and work title in the signature area.

  • Minimum 10 characters for the main content.

• Size Requirements: No restrictions.

• Image Format: JPG, PNG, JPEG,

• Legal Compliance: Ensure the content adheres to relevant laws and regulations, does not infringe on copyrights or reputation rights, and avoids disputes. The submitter is responsible for any legal issues related to the artwork.

Painting Guidelines: 

• Medium: Watercolors, oil paints, sketches, acrylics, printmaking, digital painting, and other 2D mediums (excluding 3D creations like paper cutting, origami, and sculptures).

• Prohibited Tools: AI-generated artwork.

• Content:

• Relevant to the theme.

• Evoke imagination or reflection.

• Emphasize authenticity, goodness, beauty, and positive energy.

• Size Requirements: No restrictions.

• Image Format: JPG, PNG, JPEG,

• Legal Compliance: Ensure the content adheres to relevant laws and regulations, does not infringe on copyrights or reputation rights, and avoids disputes. The submitter is responsible for any legal issues related to the artwork.

Calligraphy & Painting Vlog:

• Video Content: Show the process of creating your calligraphy or painting (can be sped up or edited) and share your artistic intentions and insights.

• Duration: 2-5 minutes.

• Format: Accepted formats include MP4, MOV, and other mainstream video formats.

• Resolution: 1920x1080 or higher (landscape orientation).

How to participate? 

• Complete the Registration Form given above.

• Submit your calligraphy/painting artwork, vlog, and completed registration form as one complete entry.

• Incomplete submissions will be invalid.
