TEST TIMINGS

NOTE:

Candidates should allow a buffer of 45 minutes to 1 hour after the exam, taking contingencies into account.
HSKK candidates should remain at the test centre until they complete both the exams: HSK and HSKK.

Pre-Registration Checklist

Verified Contact Info: Use an active email and phone number to ensure you receive all exam updates. The details will be shared only on the registered email and WhatsApp number.
Valid ID Required: Register using a valid Aadhaar Card or Passport.
Valid Photo : A passport size photo is required to upload on the registration form. (Check below for reference)
Original ID on Exam Day: You must bring the original physical ID to the center. Photocopies or digital copies are not permitted.

HSK Exam Photo Requirements

Photo Type: Recent, bareheaded, passport-style photo (within the last 6 months).
Background: Plain white background.
Attire: No hats, scarves, headbands, or sunglasses (unless worn for religious reasons).
Orientation: Portrait format, showing the head and upper shoulders clearly.
File Format: JPG or JPEG
File Size: 15KB - 100 KB
Dimensions: 180 x 240 pixels

Your seat will be booked only after you complete the payment and fill in the payment form provided by the testing centre.

Q. How to know if my seat is booked or not?

Log in to your account on chinesetest.cn.
Check the TEST RECORDS.
Look for the payment status.
If it shows "paid" the seat is booked.
If payment status isn't visible, you can contact the academy for help.

Note: The payment status will be updated within a week after the payment is made.

4) RESULTS

Results will be available 1 month after taking the test.

NOTE: The test score report (certificate) is unavailable for download on the website.

5) CERTIFICATE

The score report will be delivered to the test centre within 2 months after the testing date.
The test takers can come to India China Academy to collect their certificate by presenting his/her test admission tickets and valid identification documents.
If test takers are unable to visit the academy to collect their admission tickets, they can apply for courier services by contacting the academy.

Important: New ID Verification Process for HSK Exams

From now on, all candidate IDs will be scanned via the CTI App on exam day.

Please ensure:

Your uploaded photo is recent (6 months)
The photo matches your ID and current appearance.
The same valid government-issued ID used during registration is presented for scanning.

Outdated or mismatched photos/ IDs may result in exam entry denial.

Registration & ID Requirements

What ID proofs are accepted for HSK exam registration?

Passport or Aadhaar Card are accepted as valid ID proofs.
Note: Candidates MUST carry the original ID document used for registration. Failure to present the original, valid ID will result in being denied entry.

Why is my Aadhaar number being rejected during registration?

Remove Spaces: Enter all 12 digits as a single string (e.g., 123456789012). Do not include spaces or hyphens.
Use an Alternative ID: If the issue persists, try using your Passport Number.

How to handle a username error or password loss?

Input your email address in the username field. If you lost your password, use the "FORGET PASSWORD" function to receive a recovery email.

Why can’t I see a test centre for a specific exam date?

A test centre only appears on the system when registration for that specific exam date is officially open.

How many Testing Centres are there in India?

Visit the official CTI website for the full list. India China Academy is the only official HSK Learning & Testing Centre in India.

Payment & Booking Confirmation

Is my seat booked after registration?

No, the seat is only booked after payment is made to the testing centre.

How to pay the test fee?

Contact the Test Centre and pay directly before the deadline. Your seat is confirmed only after payment and completing the payment form provided by the centre.

How to know if my seat is booked or not?

Log in to chinesetest.cn, check your registration form, and look for the payment status. If it shows "Paid," your seat is booked.

Editing or Canceling Information

How do I correct registration information?

Before the deadline: Log in to CTI, go to "Personal Centre" → "Test Record" to edit. Use a laptop for these changes.
After the deadline: You must contact the test centre directly.

🚫 Note: Test level and centre cannot be changed at this stage.

How do I change the photo on my registration form?

Log in on CTI Website (click here)
Laptop: Blue image (top right) → Test Records → Personal Info → Click Pen Icon.
Mobile: Three lines (top right) → My Account → Test Records → Click Pen Icon.

Can I change the Test Level, Centre, or Date?

If the fees have not been paid, you can cancel your registration before the deadline and re-register with a new test level/date. However, you cannot change the test level if the payment is completed.

How to cancel the registration?

Exam Day Logistics

Where and how is the exam conducted?

Exams are held offline (pen-and-paper) in Mumbai (Saki Naka/Andheri). Exact venue details will be on your Admission Ticket.

When and how do I get my Admission Ticket?

Tickets are generated 7 days (1 week) before the test.
Log in to the testing site, Click on the blue icon (profile photo)
Go to "Test Records," and select "Printer icon."
You must take a color printout.

What items are allowed in the test room?

Color printout of Admission Ticket.
Original ID (Passport/Aadhaar used during registration).
Two 2B pencils and an eraser.
Transparent water bottle.

🚫 Note: No electronic devices allowed.

Is there a dress code?

Formal and decent casual attire are acceptable.

Results & Certificates

When and how can I view my test score?

Scores are available online at CTI 1 month after the test. You will need your Admission Ticket Number to log in.

Can I download my certificate online?

No. The official score report is unavailable for download.

When and where can I collect my certificate?

It arrives at the test centre 2 months after the test. You can collect it from India China Academy office or opt for the courier options.

Where can I get study materials?

Visit the "Download" page at www.chinesetest.cn for guidelines and sample materials.
